Plugging in an AC charger does nothing; the charge port light never turns on.
The control-pilot signal is not reaching the onboard charger.
Suggested test plan
- Confirm the charger is powered and handshaking.
- Measure CP and PP at the inlet.
- Inspect the inlet harness.
- Repair the inlet or wiring.
Safety: High voltage can be lethal. Only trained technicians may work on an EV. Use rated PPE and follow the manufacturer isolation procedure. This is an educational model only.
Control pilot is the safety handshake between charger and vehicle. Never probe a live DC fast-charge connector.
