Instrument cluster Fuse Guide 2
Instrument cluster has stopped working, and the likely cause is a blown fuse.
System
12V low-voltage
Location
Driver-side door fuse block. Slot for instrument cluster.
Amp rating
10 A
Fuse type
Blade (ATO) mini
Color
Red
The Instrument cluster circuit is protected by a 10 A fuse. When that fuse blows, the circuit stops working and a simple replacement usually restores it. This guide shows you where the fuse lives and how to swap it safely.

Checking the Fuse
Always switch the ignition off and disconnect the power source before touching the fuse. Pull the fuse out and hold it up to the light. If the metal link is broken or melted the fuse has blown. Test across the two prongs with a multimeter set to continuity: a good fuse reads near zero ohms, an open reading confirms it is dead.
Step-by-Step Replacement
- Switch the ignition off and isolate the circuit.
- Open the relevant fuse panel and find the Instrument cluster fuse using the lid diagram.
- Pull the fuse with a fuse puller and inspect the link.
- Fit a new fuse with the exact same 10 A rating. Never use a higher rating.
- Re-test the Instrument cluster before replacing the cover.
If It Blows Again
A fuse that blows again immediately points to a short or an overloaded circuit, not a bad fuse. Check the wiring and the component it feeds, and see a professional if it keeps happening.
