Pressing the horn pad produces no sound at all.
The horn circuit is open at the switch, fuse or horn itself.
Suggested test plan
- Verify the fuse and horn relay.
- Measure supply at the horn during a press.
- Test the horn winding.
- Repair the switch, wiring or horn.
Safety: 12 V systems are low voltage but can still cause burns and fire. Disconnect the battery before working on wiring and never short a battery terminal.
Horn circuits are simple: supply, switch, load and ground. Test the load last, after proving the supply.
