EV Alarm Goes Off Randomly at Night

The alarm triggers while parked, sometimes in the middle of the night, with no one nearby.

What causes it

Faulty hood/boot sensors, a low 12V battery causing false triggers, or interior motion sensors catching insects, drafts or pets.

Check for a low 12V battery - the #1 cause of random EV alarms.
Disable interior motion sensing at home if your car allows it (look in the menu or app).
Check hood/boot and door latches - a slightly open sensor causes false trips.
Look for the cause in the app - many EVs log why the alarm triggered.
If it keeps happening, book a dealer visit; a faulty sensor is covered under warranty.

Park with the car fully locked (a half-locked door makes sensors erratic) and keep the 12V battery healthy.
